Shae Jones is a Philadelphia based artist known for creating in different mediums such as photography, painting and graphic design, all in black and white. With a passion for navigating through these creative realms, she is composing these mediums in monochromatic pictorial stories innovating what was known to be a classic art form.
Born and raised in North Philadelphia, Shae discovered a love for art at eleven years old. Drawing first inspiration from local Philadelphia artist Lucien Crump II, and renowned photographer Carrie Mae Weems, and local art teachers she developed a distinctive fearless style characterized by thinking creatively and without boundaries.
Shae Jones’ artistic journey has been marked by live paintings at several local venues in Philadelphia, and grand openings, featured First Friday artist by Artscapes, Self produced Solo exhibition, featured photographer in “The Black and White Gallery” in NYC, The Trapx art show, highlighted artist in Philadelphia’s Intellectual Ink Magazine and many more local events throughout the tri-state area.
Shae believes in the power of creative expression to transcend boundaries and provoke thought. Artists are not bound by the constraints of reality, we are the innovators of new worlds, creators of alternate realities. Through the craft, we invite others to step into these realms, encouraging them to see the world from a different angle, to feel what they might not have felt before, and to dream beyond the confines of the present.
Founded on the belief that simplicity holds boundless beauty, this studio is a sanctuary for artists and enthusiasts alike, dedicated to exploring the depths of light and shadow.
With every stroke of the brush, click of the shutter, or pixel on the screen, we strive to capture the essence of the human experience and ignite a sense of wonder and contemplation.
Our vision is to become a sanctuary for monochromatic expression, where the purity of form and the subtlety of shades converge to evoke profound emotions and provoke thought.
We envision a space where the boundaries between photography, graphic design, and painting blur, allowing for a seamless integration of diverse artistic mediums united by the monochromatic palette.
